Unsure which riding lesson is right for you? Not worry, below we have explained each lesson type so you can book with confidence.
At Bristol Riding School we cater to all abilities, whether it's your first time or you are an experienced rider who wish to improve.
Lessons are offered to Children and Adults.
We are currently offering Individual, Semi-Private and Group lessons.
Group lessons are a fun and social way to learn to ride. Riders are grouped by ability to ensure everyone feels comfortable and supported. Lessons focus on developing balance, confidence, and riding skills while learning alongside others under the guidance of an experienced instructor.
Get outdoors and experience the scenic South Gloucestershire countryside with our enjoyable hacks.
We offer memorable horseback experiences with plenty of good hacking right on our doorstep. This includes bridle paths, roads, motorway bridges and we even offer rides with a 'pit stop' in one of our favourite local pubs!
Our current offering is group and private hacks.
This session is for younger children wanting to meet the ponies. They will get to do some brushing and will be offered a little walk around the school aided to see if they will have a go at riding.
Please bring apples, carrots or polos if you would like to.

All riders must wear a riding hat to "PAS015/BSEN1384 standard (these can be borrowed from BRS).
Riders under 17 years old must wear a body protector (these can be borrowed from BRS).
Wellington boots, shoes and boots with a small heel must be worn as trainers can slip through the stirrups.
Jogging bottoms or leggings are more comfortable than jeans.
All long hair must be tied back in a low pony tail.
We advise you to take out full personal accident cover
All equipment is regularly checked and meets all recommended safety standards where applicable.
All clients riding with Bristol Riding School must complete a Rider Registration Form before their first time riding with us. This can be done through your EC Pro account.
Applicable bookings can be cancelled through your EC Pro account and will provide you credit on your account.
We have a strict 72hr cancellation policy, cancelling less than 72hrs before your lesson begins will result in no refund. You can find out more on our policy HERE
